Long Term Implantable Device Reliability Testing

MyoMyte™ is a new wearable sensor kit that enables the user to monitor skin surface electric fields within the physiological frequency and amplitude range.  Typically these potentials are generated by muscle activity under the skin directly under the MyoMyte™.  The MyoMyte™ is simply strapped over the muscle of interest and turned on.  The user or trainer can then directly monitor the activity of that muscle by observing the LED display, hearing the sound, and feeling the vibrations which are all proportional to the level of muscle activation.

 

This technology is currently available for use in sports and physical training of specific muscles.  Some of the many applications for this technology include re-training (enhancing or reducing use) of a specific muscle during physical activity, and strengthening a specific muscle during workouts.

EMGSense™ is a backpack instrumentation unit suitable for continuous recording of 32 channels of physiological data including bioelectric, acceleration, temperature, humidity and force measurements.  This system is controlled by telemetry from a remote computer which can also receive the data from the backpack instrumentation unit. Each system is customized and is assembled ARO.

PhysioTelemeter™ is a telemetry system for recording and transmitting physiological signals from the point of acquisition.  The sensors are rechargeable battery powered devices that are approximately 35mm diameter and 5mm thick, weighing less than 20g.  Each body worn unit can transmit up to 4 variables from sensors including acceleration (XYZ), EMG, EKG, pressure and force.  Currently, up to 4 four channel body worn units can be used simultaneously.  Design range is 30meters, transmission by RF using pulse encoding. Partnership in development solicited. 

Long term implantable device reliability testing includes testing of complete systems or specific components or failure points.  Electrometer based instrumentation for bench or implantable measurements (by telemetry or direct wired through percutaneous connection) is used to sense pico to femto ampere leakage currents indefinitely until devices fail.  Cleanroom final assembly of test devices may be included as needed.
